This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things…

I previously posted about the nice, new dog bed the boys got for Christmas. I had several pictures of them sitting in it and sleeping in it.

Well, that nice dog bed is now a destroyed dog bed. This was the mess I came home to the other night after work. The dog bed was ripped open, the cushion pulled out, and the stuffing inside the cushion was scattered all over the floor.

I could NOT believe it!

Look how innocent they both look. “What Mom? This is how it was when you left for work. We swear.” My guess is Teddy did the initial ripping, but Cubbie couldn’t resist helping to pull out the stuffing.

I thought maybe I could put the stuffing back in or even get new stuffing and just sew the bed back up, but it’s ripped in so many places and at different angles, I’m not sure I can make it work.

The good news, apparently Cubbie doesn’t mind sleeping in a stuffing-less dog bed.
